Examination System & Assessment Information

To uphold its commitment to quality education, the National Institute of Computer Education (N.I.C.E.) follows a structured system of continuous evaluation. Students are assessed based on their performance in module examinations, projects, and class participation.

Evaluation Criteria
  • Minimum passing marks: 45% in each module
  • Assessment is based on:
    • Module Examinations
    • Project Work
    • Class Participation

Important Notes

01. Attendance Requirement:

Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance.

Failure to do so will result in disqualification from examinations, no certificate issuance, and no refund of course or security fees.

02. Examination Frequency:

Exams are conducted twelve times a year at your local N.I.C.E. Centre.

All examination modes are online.

03. Practical Examination (Total: 100 Marks):

20 Marks: Internal Evaluation (Class Tests, Assignments, Projects, Attendance)

20 Marks: Practical Examination

60 Marks: External Examination (Semester Exam)

04. Exam Duration:

Each examination will have a duration of 1 hour.

05. Semester System:

Courses are divided into semesters.

Students must clear each semester before advancing.

Failure in a semester must be cleared in the subsequent semester; otherwise, progression is not permitted.

06. Absence from Exam:

Students who miss an exam must pay a fine of Rs. 100/- to appear in the next semester's exam.

07. Regular Tests & Assignments:

Students must participate in regular class tests and submit assignments.

Performance will be evaluated at the end of each module and semester.
